About Us

Former students run RAM Book & Supply; some are UNC grads, some from University of Maine, Wisconsin at Madison, and Emory. We're folks who like a good joke, have volunteered for the Peace Corps and saving wildlife, play Frisbee golf or ultimate, love the outdoors, computer gaming, good food and great music. Here at RAM we know that you don't want to pay any more for books than necessary. We've been the UNC community's alternative source for textbooks since 1995. One visit to RAM and it's obvious that our prices reflect the cozy atmosphere of our old store and not a large inventory of merchandise you've seen everywhere else. We focus on USED textbooks because that's what you've asked for, and buying USED saves you money.

We save you money all year round by giving you the lowest prices when buying your books, offering you Class Notes on select classes, getting you discounts to area merchants, sponsoring the Blue Deuce Giveaway, working with school clubs, giving you the highest prices at buyback, plus giving you RAM bucks during finals week.

The convenience factor is pretty high also, with the book reserve and free delivery program available to all classes, not just freshmen. We also have multiple buyback locations at the end of each semester, and lots of parking in front to make it easier for you to stop in and check us out. RAM Book & Supply is at 306 W. Franklin, between the W.B. Yeats and Nail Trix, in the plaza across from Panera Bread.
